    • Life Audience have picked the winners from their Luminous remix contest which ran during November and December 2012. You can hear the winning remixes and see what Life Audience said about each one below...

    1st, goes to (40hz remix) "Stunning and clever!"

    Life Audience: " What can we say to this! We think the track speaks for itself! Its Stunning! Right from the start it pulls you in on a chillstep mission.. Amazing intelligence on this track, with the placing and arangment of frequencies! The melody is awesome and the drop offs are clever and interesting..... it keeps you hooked with its fills and quirks, trips and dips... We absolutely fell off our chairs when we first heard this! What an amazing standard! Well Done!! Thank youuuuu!!!!!"

    2nd, place goes to (Insomnious remix) "Beautiful"

    Life Audience: " Love the intro to this track... with its effects on the vocals. This is also a dreamy track that sucks you in on a ride of sound.. Love the minimal beats and the progression.     • Due to the great response to the Life Audience - Luminous Remix Contest whih ended on 31st December 2012, we have decided to do exactly the same again but with a different track.

    Life Audience (Steve G, aka Asymmetric and Kierstin Inga) are a fast emerging as an "up and coming" Downtempo Electronica partnership that fuse Electronic with organic acoustic instruments. Even though this project have been around for the last 5 years, they have been making more of an impact over the last few, having tracks on various chillout compilations including "Sony's Bar Lounge Classics - 2010, and Sony's "Bar Lounge Classics - The Relax Edition" being just a few. The release of their own debut album "Waves and Particles" in 2010 included the track "Luminous" which you can remix and possibly win your remix on the new remix album due for release in 2013.

    What Life Audience is looking for: All remixes should be within the chilled out genres, this can be chill genre whether that be dark or light and fluffy, you have creative control.

    This remix contest will have 1 winner and 4 runners up.

    The winning remixer will have their remix released on the remix album due for release in May 2013 on Diventa-Music. The remixer will earn 50% net royalties from whatever their remix earns. The winner will also receive a signed copy of the original album on CD. Four runner ups will receive a digital copy of the album and consideration for future release.

    Eligibilty: Open worldwide to entrants who are aged 13 or older. Entrants who are under the age of majority in their country should get parent(s) or guardian(s) permission before entering. Musicians who are under an exclusive contract with a record label are ineligible. No purchase is necessary to enter or win this contest.

    Posting Remixes Online: You are not allowed to upload your remixes to sites like SoundCloud, YouTube etc until after the winners have been announced.

    Rights (Remix Files): The remix stems are provided for you to make a remix for this contest only. They can not be distributed elsewhere. You can not use the remix files within your own tracks unless you get permission from Life Audience.

    Rights (Remixes): Remixes can not be distributed for sale without the permission of Life Audience. Remixes can be uploaded to SoundCloud, YouTube and other sites in streaming format only and should not be distributed for download until after the contest winner has been announced.

    Judging: The best remixes will be chosen by Life Audience based upon the quality of music, production values used in making the remix and the preference of the judge(s).

    Remix Comps v2.0 Launch - Complete Redesign & New Features

    • As you can see we've had a complete redesign of the site, which should enable us to take the site forward in the coming few years. It feels like a complete new version of the site.

    Here's some of the things we've added...

    • New site design with Mobile and Tablet sizes which allows you to use the site easier on these smaller devices.
    • Advanced Search in the top menu allows you to filter through certain options, so you can do things like all dubstep tracks with female vocals and sorted by closing date.
    • List page is now sortable by name and closing date.
    • New genres added to the genres list such as hard dance, downtempo, minmal.
    • Most well known and Biggest label sorting under the special dropdown able allows you to sort contests by how well known artists and labels are.
    • New prize categories in the prize dropdown above such as "own track release" and "plugins".
    • New host dropdown allows you to quickly see what contests certain remix contest hosting sites are running.
    • Labels and the contest host are now listed on each remix contest with links and number of Facebook likes next to each one.
    • Facebook page for each remix contest is listed.
    • Each of the genre, prize, BPM and vocal pages can be sorted multiple ways.
    • Each remix contest now has a picture next to its listing.

    We hope you enjoy these features which should make the site much nicer to visit. If you see any problems let us know.
